Seychelles Islands


The republic of Seychelles is an island state comprised of an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean about 1500km. off the coast of East Africa, northeast of Madagascar. The 115 islands are divided into the following six groups: the inner Seychelles, Aldabra Islands, Amirante islands, Alphonse group, Farquhar group, and southern coral group.

To reach the country you can fly to the only airport in the republic: the only international airport. Once on the islands transport is mainly by the boats and the light aircrafts. The main languages spoken here are Seychellois Creole, English and French. The climate is equable although quite humid, as the islands are small and the temperature varies little throughout the year.Seychelles IslandsVallee de Mai national park is one of the most amazing national parks in world and a renowned world heritage site. The animals here are so diverse and amazingly beautiful.
